The Stony Coral Tissue Loss Disease (SCTLD) Response Team invites everyone to the Governors Ballroom at the Westin Grand Cayman, on Wednesday, 10th August, 2022 from 5:30-7:30pm for Coral Fest!
Let’s celebrate the important ecological services corals provide and learn about the threat of coral diseases including SCTLD – an aggressive coral disease that has killed thousands of corals all around Grand Cayman and has severely impacted the northern Caribbean. Meet Cayman’s SCTLD Response Team along with coral scientists and representatives from across the UKOTs. Have fun while learning with coral themed booths, games and prizes!
This free event is co-hosted by the DoE, the UK based Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC), and other UK Overseas Territories and is funded by Darwin Plus and UK’s Conflict, Stability and Security Fund.
